Focus on Smaller Companies: Silvercloud is unique in the private equity industry because it is focused only on companies that have annual revenues of between $3 and $25 million – companies typically ignored by traditional buyout firms. Silvercloud’s approach to value creation is a patient, long-term focus on maintaining and improving solid business fundamentals over time. Silvercloud is financially positioned, in combination with traditional bank financing, to help businesses take the next step to increased growth and profitability because of our substantial committed capital.
Disciplined Acquisition Strategy : To ensure that every Silvercloud company is successful, Silvercloud plans to complete only three to five acquisitions over the next two to three years. This narrow focus allows us to dedicate appropriate attention to each of our portfolio businesses, and to ensure we complete only the most appropriate acquisitions for our strategy.
Long Term Perspective: Unlike a traditional private equity firm, Silvercloud has kept outside investors to a minimum to ensure that we can always take the long-term perspective and act in accordance with what is best for the business over time – not just this quarter. Our investors are comfortable owning businesses for the long term, considering a subsequent sale of one of our portfolio companies only if appropriate.
